Quicken Premier for Windows. Accuracy of Fidelity download
I have a managed account with Fidelity containing a large number of securities. I update with Quicken once a month. Over time the two do not track is there a way to get them in sybc again?

Well, one of the things that might be causing them to go out of sync is that, except for the initial account download setups, Fidelity limits new downloaded data to only the last 30 days. So, during a 31 day month you are not getting 1 day of new data downloaded. And if you sometimes delay updating the account for even longer than that then there will be additional days that you are not getting downloads for. Fidelity's website and I suggest that we download transactions more frequently than frequently than every 30 days. If you do not do that, you will get holdings and cash discrepancies that will either cause Quicken to enter Placeholders and/or for you to enter holdings and/or cash balancing transactions.
You did not say what types of discrepancies you are seeing. A common one that does occur is with Fidelity accounts is related to the Core Account which usually is a Money Market Fund (most commonly SPAXX but there are a couple of other options). The Core Account is where Fidelity holds cash and it can be identified in the Positions tab of Fidelity by two asterisks following the ticker (ex., SPAXX**).
In general, Fidelity downloads the value of the Core Account MMF into Quicken as Cash instead of downloading the shares that are held. This means that you do not want your account in Quicken to be holding shares your Core Account MMF. If you do, your account value will be overstated because the duplication of shares value and "cash" value. If you show a Cash Balance in your account in Quicken and you also show shares held of your Core Account MMF, then you have an issue that needs to be resolved. You can see the process for how to resolve this issue in the following discussion thread….see my two posts of April 2020 that are marked as "Answer✓": Downloads from Fidelity do not included activity into the settlement fund.
Well, this is probably a good start. After you've had a chance to review this if you would provide more details about what the specific issues you are seeing then perhaps I or someone else might be able to provide some assistance.

Provided this isn't a 401K account that might have a problem with the Simple Investment mode, you might consider switching to Simple Investment mode.
What it does is just update the number of shares and cash amount based on the "summary information" that is downloaded along with the transactions, instead of trying to track the individual transactions.
