Automatically download new transactions
Instead of having to hit the Update button every time I want to download new transactions, they should be downloaded automatically. If the challenge is pinging the financial institutions too often, perhaps a daily cadence could be set.
Note: I was unable to add this to the Quicken Mac Classic category for some reason. [EDIT: Fixed]

I do think they want to prevent high loads on their servers or financial institutions from unnecessary downloads. (I personally think clicking one button for downloads isn't requiring users to do too much work. 😉)
I can note that there was an older Idea thread (feature request) for scheduled download functionality, and the developers marked it as "Not Planned". (Such threads are then archived so they aren't visible any longer.)
The developers don't outright reject very many feature requests; we have no idea why they nixed this one, but if they rejected it, it's likely dead for the foreseeable future.
However, there is a separate Idea thread now active to be able to set Quicken to download at startup. You can add your vote and comments in that thread if you wish; click View Post below.
I'll note that that idea has only garnered two votes since it was created 14 months ago, so it needs a lot more votes from users in order to be advanced to the developers for consideration.
