Windows 11 -- resolving fuzzy text in high resolution monitors and scaling
I just upgrade to a new PC with Win 11 and despite having the ability to run the old and new PC on the same monitor and comparing settings in the System, and the program I could not resolve fuzzy text on the new PC specific to Quicken. All other programs worked fine, identical presentation. The solution was trying one additional setting I found on the Quicken Community.
Solution: Per suggestions on Quicken Community—go into the File Explorer, Quicken Folder, and search for QW.exe…then right click on Properties. On the Compatibility tab navigate to near the bottom for “Change high DPI settings” and then in the Section “High DPI scaling override, click that. (This is where I tried a new option beyond what I’d seen on the Community that finally resulted in a very good outcome.
Check that box and select “System (Enhanced). This resulted in sharp text, and all other window panes sized well with no issues. Slightly different line spacing in the Account List, but still very acceptable, possibly better than before. (For reference I did not use the Compatibility mode for Win 8, that is not checked.
I am running high resolution monitors 3840x2160 with 225% scaling, multiple monitors, ASUS Nvidia GeForce 4060Ti graphics card in a new clean build PC.

Hi Kristina, I actually saw that article and looked for the file that is referenced in the article QW.exe.Manifest. That file is not on my system. I even searched on File Explorer and it came back with "no results." The solution I found doesn't require any surgery on files, or registry edits….just finding the right item to click within the compatibility option properties for qw.exe.
