Covering Short Puts

I've had trouble in the past getting short puts to close out. Now I use ShrSell to open and CvrShrt and to close the position. That had been working. Shares are closed out. However, my cash balance is now off by the exact amount that I sold the puts for. (The gain on the trade.) I switched to Schwab when they merged with TD Ameritrade. Since then it seems that Schwab doesn't work as well with the transaction downloads to Quicken.
Any suggestions on how to fix this cash discrepancy?

Hello @Catherine Shenoy,
To assist with this, there are a few options. If you just need to do a one-time adjustment to correct the cash balance, clicking the action gear at the upper right of the investment account register and selecting "Update cash balance…" will allow you to make a correction.
For a more long-term solution to help prevent having similar issues when documenting short puts in the future, perhaps the advice from this earlier discussion on the topic will help:
I hope this helps!
