Immediate reconcile after "Accept All" downloaded transactions?

I always review downloaded transactions - some match correctly to scheduled transactions I have pre-entered, but some I have to manually match. When everything is matched or accepted, I press "Accept All".
Some of my checking and savings accounts then immediately reconcile- all the "c" (cleared) status change to "R" (reconciled) and I am done (unless there is a discrepancy - then the window showing all outstanding transactions with check marks and the non-zero difference appears). But for some accounts, the new transactions remain as "c" - I have to then do the extra step of selecting "Reconcile" in the task bar, bring up the window showing difference of 0.00, and click "done".
I cannot find any difference in my register preference or account settings between the accounts that reconcile immediately and the ones that require the extra step. My Bank of America checking account reconciles immediately, my Ally Bank checking accounts require the extra step. I would like all of bank accounts to reconcile immediately when I "accept all". Any idea what setting I am missing?

Very awesome! Thank you all. I sort of remembered the screen shown above, but didn't know I had to uncheck "Reconcile using online balance" in account edit in order to get that screen back.

Hello @Joseph Witkin,
We appreciate you reaching out about this issue!
For the accounts that currently do not auto-reconcile, please navigate to the Gear icon located in the top right, and select Reconcile.
On the following screen, please click on Use online balance, and check both checkboxes for Always use Online balance for this account. Don't ask me again. and Auto reconcile downloaded transactions.
Then click Apply and Ok.
You will then receive the reconcile screen, and click Done. Moving forward, the auto-reconcile setting should be applied.
Please note that if you do not receive the window shown above, you may need to uncheck the Reconcile using online balance checkbox first. To do so, Right-click the account name > Select Edit/delete account > Online Services—the checkbox will be on the bottom right.
I hope this helps!

@Quicken Anja - You said…

And the picture you posted shows this as well. This all agrees with what my understanding has been.
However, Help for Turning on Auto Reconcile and the related Support Article (
) shows that only the Auto Reconcile… box needs to be checked…and not the box for Always use Online Balance… .Would you please confirm which is correct?

Hello @Boatnmaniac,
Yes, the instructions in the support article are correct—you only need to have the Auto Reconcile box checked. However, I just suggest checking both options as an added precaution.
I hope this helps clarify things!

Double checking - not possible to auto reconcile a brokerage account? Even with the "Reconcile using online balance" unchecked, I do not get the Reconcile box with the two checkboxes that appears for bank accounts.

Hello @Joseph Witkin,
Thank you for reaching out with this question. Unfortunately, brokerage (or any investment accounts) are unable to auto-reconcile. You can use the Auto Reconcile feature only with bank accounts that you've activated for transaction download, and you can use this optional feature anytime you like. You can read more about the auto-reconcile function in this Support Article.
I hope this helps!
