Why does quicken deluxe classic for windows ask for IRA contribution year when recording a distribution? A distribution from an IRA is not contribution, so why ask for a tax year for a contribution……or is it asking for the tax year of the distribution? If so that is poor wording.

US version, Quicken Classic Deluxe for Windows, Ver. R60.20, Build 27.1.60.20, Subscription still active.
When I tried a new dummy distribution from the IRA or tried to edit the transaction in question, I was unable to get the pop-up requesting entry of the tax year (by radio buttons, previous or current) but it is the same pop-up that I would get years ago when making a contribution to the IRA.
