One Step Update has stopped working / Windows 11, Quicken Deluxe R60.20, build 27.1.60.20

Downloaded and updated to the newest version and now One Step update does not display downloaded transactions.

When I tried to reset my account via the Account Details/OnLine Services tab, I receive a popup that states that the account cannot be reset as there are downloaded transactions that must be first accepted. See attached.

When I go to Update Summary via the One Step Update dropdown, I can see that Quicken downloaded 14 transactions:

…but my Downloaded Txs show nothing to accept:

  • Hello @spetrozzi,

    Thanks for reaching out.

It sounds like Quicken recognizes the downloaded transactions but does not display them for review, which can sometimes happen for a few different reasons. Have you tried switching to the "All Transactions" or "Downloaded Transactions" view in your account register? Sometimes transactions are hidden if filters are applied. Do you see any pending transactions in the "Downloaded Transactions" area, even if they don’t appear in the register? Additionally, have you recently made any manual edits or reconciliations in the account that could have caused Quicken to auto-match the transactions? Is this issue only occurring with Truist? If not, which financial institutions are you experiencing this issue with?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you for your response. I manually updated Quicken with the previously downloaded items in the hopes it was a data issue. However, when I ran the One Step Update this morning, I see new Txs are displayed in the One Step Update Summary screen but nothing displays in the Downloaded / Pending area of the register. See images for details.
Also, I only use Quicken with my Truist accounts so I have no info on other institutions.

No filters are applied to this view:

    Other suggestions?

    Thanks again!

To answer this question "Do you see any pending transactions in the "Downloaded Transactions" area, even if they don’t appear in the register?", the answer is YES I see some Txs in the "Pending Transactions" tab but the cleared transactions (as seen from the bank website and typically appear as Downloaded Transactions are not displaying. See image above.
    Thank you!

Due to a totally unrelated issue, I restored my system and ran into this issue and, discovering that my software had been back-revved, updated the software to the latest version. It appears that Quicken may have difficulty with a data file that was revised with newer software, then back-revved to an earlier version…that's my theory, anyway.

The most recent version is 61.17. You appear to be using an older version. Pull down Help > Check for Updates.

THANK YOU RALPH C! This was the answer as I DID have to perform a Restore to my system due to another issue. I suspected this might be the issue but Help/Check for Updates stated that I was using the most current version. Your post made me question that response. Ultimately, I had to download the most current version from the Quicken website and perform a reinstall (which uninstalled the current (old) version. Once the newly installed version was pointed to my current data file, updates displayed in the download view and allowed me to update all of my accounts.

    Thank you very much!

Same here. None of my accounts are updating.

  • Hello @x89,

    Thanks for joining this thread!

When you say none of your accounts are updating, do you mean all financial institutions or just certain ones? Are you seeing any error messages, or does Quicken go through the update process without pulling in new transactions? If this is affecting multiple accounts across different banks, it could be a broader connectivity issue. Have you noticed if your account balances are updating but transactions are missing or is nothing coming through at all?

Let us know more details, and we’ll do our best to help troubleshoot!
