Cannot Update Price Manually on Securities

Hi - I've been updating the price of 3 securities in an employee profit share account for months, as they're not listed securities, but this month Quicken gave an error saying I had to select a security in the same currency as the account. The account was opened in USD, the securities are USD and the price update is USD so I am at a loss. Any clues? This may have been introduced in a recent update as I don't recall having the issue before, and the securities have been the same for about 6 months.

Quicken R61.17 / Build 27.1.61.17 (Windows 11)

Attached Screen Shots. I get the error with any of the 3 securities in the account.

Looks like a bug or data corruption. It is as if it doesn't think that your account is in USD. One real pain here is I don't see any place where you can tell what Quicken thinks the currency is for the account. It isn't in the Account Details or Account Overview, and they don't show the currency symbol in the accounts. About the only indication that they consider it a different currency other than an error like above is that in the reports if you set them to USD, they will convert amounts in accounts that have a different currency.

I do notice when I played with it, if I try to enter a buy the pulldown list of the Security name will only show the securities it thinks are in the currency of the account you are in. If you type in the security name, that is when you get the error you are seeing.

You might try Validate and Repair.

Those first 4 securities shown in your Security List look quite odd to me. Is that info correct?

Because my first guess would be that they're indicative of data corruption, perhaps severe, so I'd also recommend Validate and Repair.

@NotACPA they're odd because that's how Quicken downloads them, this is a "holding only" connection as transations are not available. However it doesn't seem to download even the holding correctly as a dividend was paid in December and the holding amount didn't update. I was able to do this manually.

@Chris_QPW I did validate the data file, no issues. I realized this error only actually happens when trying to update the price from the Investment Dashboard, it doesn't happen if you go to the security overview and then click "update price history" and then click "new price". So I would say is almost certainly a bug, not a data issue.

@Zoolook Are you running the Mac version? This discussion is under a Windows Investing grouping. That could make a big difference.

@Zoolook Which Financial Institution are you doing this download from, and what's the download method? Direct Connect? Quicken Connect? What?

It's Voya, but I am not asking for help with that, it was just additional information.

Do they look like Mac screenshots? It's the Windows version, I said this in the first post - Quicken R61.17 / Build 27.1.61.17 (Windows 11)

As an aside, I do have the Mac version of Quicken, and this issue is not prevalent there. It also updates the holding amounts when there are dividends, but then again its not running code from the Reagan era.
