Dividend/interest credited to wrong money market fund (V r61.17) Windows 10 Pro

I made a mistake when entering downloaded dividend transactions into a money market find, in that I credited the wrong fund in some years. I know the total amount in each year that was done incorrectly, and want to fix it.

The original entries made show up as Divx in the security view (in the wrong fund),and also show the # of shares and the amount (which are the same). They also appear as a deposit in the cash register for the account owner.

I tried reversing the total amount for a year by entering a negative dividend for the incorrect fund and a positive dividend for the right fund in the investment transaction register.

The change is reflected in the Investment Income Report. What's strange is that it does not seem to make a difference in the number of shares of each fund in either fund in the Portfolio Value report.

What should I do to fix that?

    Hello @Bearspa,

Thank you for sharing the problem you're running into. If I'm understanding correctly, you accidentally added shares and cash to the wrong fund, and now when you use the Divx to try to correct it, it corrects the cash, but not the number of shares?

If you just need to adjust the number of shares, then you can click the gear icon near the upper right of the register, select Update Share Balance, then fill out the information in the window that pops up. That will create an adjustment in the investment account to set the correct number of shares.

    I hope this helps!
