Chase Prime VISA is pulling pending transactions out of its ear.. apparently

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. Those pending transactions showing in Quicken look like they were from last month. Did they just download today? Are they visible only in that information section?

I just allowed for the download of pending transactions into this particular Account yesterday so I can't characterize this as new behavior.
One of the transactions had been downloaded into the Account, I couldn't find the others.
Today I deleted those three pending transactions and did an Update Now. One of the real pending transactions from yesterday has posted as cleared and the other one in now properly shown as pending. I'll put it down as a one-time (fingers crossed) glitch.

The problem is that pending transactions not going away in Quicken, when they really are no longer pending transactions, is not a one-time issue. It is not uncommon, especially for transactions that were done where the initial transaction is simply a temporary hold placeholder since they do not yet include the final transaction dollar amount. Examples of of businesses that place temporary holds are gas station pumps, restaurants where tipping is done and hotels upon check-in but where the final bill might later include additional charges.
For me this issue seems to occur most frequently with temporary hold transactions but it also sometimes happens with transactions that were not first done as temporary holds.
By no means does this happen all the time but in my various EWC and EWC+ accounts it happens enough where at least 1-2 times a month I need to manually delete pending transactions from one or more accounts that did not go away after the posted transactions had downloaded.
I like seeing pending transactions in the account register but because of this issue I disabled letting them be included in the account balance nor in the Online Balance. By doing it this way the accounts can still be reconciled to the Online Balance.

I did notice today, after downloading into my other Chase credit card Account, that the Online Balance, a balance that was in agreement to the Chase web site, did not agree to the Account register's Balance as of the latest cleared transaction. The difference was $85.00.
The two pending transactions downloaded were $71.32 and $160.18, both being restaurant bills, and both of those dollar amounts were also in agreement with Chase's web site,
I left a tip of $13.68 on the $71.32 restaurant bill for a total of $85.00, so that bill was clearly being incorporated by Chase in the current credit card balance AND the pending transactions detail.
I guess if the bank gets these things wrong I can't be too hard on Quicken.

As @Boatnmaniac pointed out, while this issue isn't common, it does sometimes happen. I see reports of the issue on the Community periodically, and I did submit a CBT last month to report the issue. If you'd like to submit fresh logs for this most recent instance, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached.

The team looking into the issue said that the problem with pending transactions not being removed when they should is fixed in the current version of Quicken. If possible, please update to the current version and let us know if the issue happens again.
