USAA Checking Account Fails to Download Recent transactions

Greetings
I am a longtime Quicken user. After a recent Quicken program update, my USAA checking account transactions quit downloading. My USAA savings and credit card accounts seem to be unaffected.
I have deactivated and then reactivated the USAA connection (Express Web Connect+), and that show all my USAA accounts but I cannot "Connect to Existing Account".
I am out of ideas at this time without rebuilding my entire USAA accounts.
Please help.
Thank you very much.

Hello @phantmdrvr,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
To investigate further, I’d like to review the logs for any internal errors related to these accounts. Could you please submit a problem report by following these steps?
- In Quicken, go to Help > Report a Problem.
- Provide a brief description of the issue, including the affected financial institution(s).
- Ensure you check the boxes to include log files and contact information so we can analyze the issue effectively.
- Submit the report.
Once submitted, please let me know here so I can follow up. I appreciate your patience while we look into this!

Hello @phantmdrvr,
I took a closer look at your account internally and noticed that there seems to be an issue with how your USAA accounts are set up. I see four USAA accounts listed, but you mentioned there should only be three. One of these accounts is a duplicate of your checking account, and that duplicate appears to be causing an error. The good news is that another version of this checking account shows as properly connected with no errors.
To resolve this, I recommend deactivating all of your USAA accounts in Quicken and checking if any hidden accounts are listed. You can do so by following the instructions below, I suggest saving a backup before proceeding.
- Open the Account List in Quicken (Tools > Account List OR Ctrl + A)
- If present, select the Show Hidden Accounts checkbox at the bottom of the Account List
- Edit each account with this financial institution to Deactivate (or Remove From One Step Update) on the Online Services tab After that, go into a web browser, revoke Quicken’s access to your USAA accounts, and then reconnect them in Quicken ( you can follow the instructions below). This should help clear up the confusion caused by the duplicate account.
- Close, then re-open Quicken
- Navigate to Tools > Add Account
- Walkthrough this process as if you were going to add a new account, providing the login credentials and answering any security questions/processes presented until you reach the screen where Quicken displays the Accounts Discovered at the financial institution
- Very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have set up in Quicken.
I also saw an error code (324) in the logs, which is pointing to the duplicate checking account, so fixing the duplicate account issue should help resolve this. Let me know how it goes, or if you need any more help!

This is a GENUINE PROBLEM…namely, that Quicken needs to resolve this issue that is not allowing for downloading of USAA account data into Quicken for Mac. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE

Thank you very much for your assistance, Jasmine,
Your solution seems to have fixed the problem. I did not realize I had two USAA checking accounts, but the problem did not appear until after one of the recent program updates.
But now all is good. If I have additional problems, I will come back to the community.
Thanks again

The instructions you provided above assume the user is using Quicken for WINDOWS**. I am using Quicken for Mac, which has a completely different graphical interface for manipulating settings. Please advise how to fix my problem, which is that I am constantly being prompted to re-establish download permissions in order to download transactions from USAA into Quicken for MAC.
NOTE: On Quicken for Mac the closest thing I could find to "deactivate account" is a window titled "set up transaction download screen"; on this screen there is a tab labeled "already set up", it displays all of my active USAA accounts, with no extra/duplicates/"hidden" accounts. Should I look elsewhere to find any problematic "hidden" accounts?

I apologize for the confusion. Since this is a Quicken for Windows thread, my instructions were based on that platform. I recommend creating a new thread with details about your issue so that Quicken Mac users, myself, and other moderators can assist you with the correct troubleshooting steps for your platform.
Thanks!

I've been recently having the Connection to USAA issue as well, and I had to deactivate and then re-add all of my account. I seems to be correctly working for now.
