    Hello @kestas,

Thank you for sharing your experience. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. Is this a newly added account? Did any information download when you added the account? Is the online balance reflecting correctly in Quicken? Are there any new cleared transactions (not pending) showing on the financial institution website that haven't yet downloaded into Quicken? If so, how recent are those transactions?

I look forward to your response!

Kristina, thanks for the response. I think I see where the problem is. The download was successful however I did something wrong. The download created a new account for the two credid card companies. I have been maintaining these accts manually and I thought the transactions downloaded would go to these accts. I guess I don't understand how it works. I have been maintaining all my accts manually but would like to switch to use the one step update. How can I do that? Also how can I reconcile the two versions of the two accts that I did a ddownload?

    Thanks for your help, Kestas

    Thank you for your reply,

Based on your description, it sounds like you accidentally added the accounts as new instead of linking to the existing accounts in Quicken. To correct this issue, backup your Quicken file. Then, delete the newly added "duplicate" accounts. Once you have deleted the newly added duplicate accounts, go to Tools>Add Account and follow the prompts. When you get to the Add/Link screen, make sure to carefully link the accounts to the existing nicknames in Quicken.

That process should allow you to connect the accounts you'd previously been tracking manually, and download recent transactions. Since you mentioned that you'd been maintaining the accounts manually, there is a chance of transactions downloading that are duplicates of information already in the register. Please check for duplicate transactions. If you see any, backup your file, then delete the duplicates. They should not redownload after you delete them.

Please let me know how it goes!

Thank you very much. I followed your instructions and it worked great. I do have another question, I have now a list of downloaded transactions, is there any easier way to identify duplicate besides going through them one by one?

    I appreciate your help.

    Thank you for the follow-up,

I'm glad to hear you were able to get your accounts connected and linked.

There isn't really any shortcut to checking for duplicates. One thing that may make it a bit easier is backup your file, then accept the transactions into your register and sort by date. The duplicates would likely be very close to the original in the register, which could make them easier to spot.

    I hope this helps!
