Is there a way to change asset class information for stocks in bulk and not just one at a time

I have foreign stock holdings that Quicken for Windows categorizes as Large Cap Stock when I download their info. I would like the stocks to be categorized as International Stocks instead. Is there any way to do this in bulk for all the stocks rather than going through them one by one and changing them to International Stocks? Or at least to stop quicken from making this choice for me? Thx.

No, you must do it one security at a time.

You can stop Quicken from downloading its version of the asset classes by going to the Security detail view and clicking on Edit Details. Un-check the Download Asset Class information box to prevent your selections from being over-written.

    Hello @Larry Woodbridge,

I understand how time-consuming it can be to update asset classifications one by one, especially when you have multiple holdings. Unfortunately, Quicken for Windows does not currently offer a way to change asset class information in bulk. The classification is typically based on the data provided by your financial institution when transactions are downloaded. That said, you might try the following workarounds:

    1. Manually Updating Asset Classes: While there isn’t a bulk edit option, you can manually change each stock’s classification under the Securities List to ensure they are categorized correctly.
    2. Creating an Idea Post: If a bulk edit feature for assets would be useful to you, consider submitting an Idea post in the Quicken Community. This allows other users to vote on the suggestion, increasing the chances that the Quicken team will consider adding it in a future update.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks to both of you for the quick response. I thought as much, but I thought I'd ask. I'll post an idea post about it.
