Vanguard opens up Direct Connect, However

apparently the issue with Vanguard and direct connect has been resolved as I was able to change connection type just now and download transactions. However a problem occured, even though I linked to existing accounts all the securities have been replicated. I now have two identical securities in each account and securities will not let me delete them as they have transactions attached to them. Can anyone tell me how to clean this up? Thanks. If there was a method of avoiding this issue perhaps you could post it and prevent others from having this problem. Thanks.

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. While it is uncommon, sometimes changing the connection can cause duplicate securities. If the information from the financial institution is just different enough that Quicken sees it as something new, that can also cause duplicates.
Fortunately, Quicken for Mac does allow you to clean up the problem by merging securities. Please see this article for more information:
