CC-503 for Shop Your Way Mastercard

I cannot connect my account to the Shop Your Way Mastercard website even though I'm entering the correct user ID and password. It looks like the Connection Type is incorrect, and I don't have an option to use the Express Web Connect option.

Hello @ag11,
We appreciate you taking the time to bring this issue to our attention!
Upon reviewing your account, I was able to confirm internally that you are receiving an FDP-103(CC-503) error. Since I am able to see the error internally, this also confirms that the connection method being used is Express Web Connect.
If you haven't already, please take a moment to review and follow the troubleshooting instructions found in this support article.
Let us know how it goes!

@ag11 - I'm wondering if this might be related to the same issue and connection method changes that I have been seeing with my Sears Mastercard (which is being replaced by the Citi Thank You Mastercard on Apr 12). See more details in today's update to my discussion on this at:
It seems that Citi is in the process of changing the supported connection method for at least some of their retail services cards (like my Sears MC and perhaps your Shop Your Way Mastercard) from EWC to EWC+.
Today for the first time I was able to add downloading connections for my Sears MC in 2 test files…I had been getting CC-503 errors the last few days. Instead of offering me the opportunity to set up with EWC (where I need to enter my online account login info in Quicken) I was instead pushed to the website where I needed to log in and authorize downloading into Quicken. Then I no longer got the CC-503 error code.
If your SYW MC was previously set up for downloading:
- Back up your data file.
- Deactivate the account (on the Online Services tab of Account Details).
- On the General tab of Account Details: Remove all Account Information (everything above the Contact Name field). Then try setting up downloading, again, via ADD ACCOUNT (in the Tools menue or via the "+" symbol at the top of the Accounts side bar)…do not use Set Up Now.
- Were you prompted to enter your SYW MC online account login information in Quicken or were you pushed to the website and requested to log in there?
- If you were prompted to enter your SYW MC online account login information in Quicken, then it would appear that EWC is still the supported connection method….at least for now….or the EWC+ migration process is not yet completed for your card.
- If you were instead pushed to the website to log in, then it would appear that Citi has migrated connection support from EWC to EWC+.
- If you were pushed to the website but the reauthorization process fails: Temporarily disable all browser extension add-ons. Then try setting up the account, again. (You can reenable the extension add-ons afterward.)
- If you are still unable to complete the EWC+ reauthorization process: If your Privacy Setting is set to Strict, temporarily change it to Standard. And if your Settings are set to block cookies, whitelist the online account for the SYW MC website by creating an exception rule to block cookies. Then try setting up the account, again.
What was the result of doing this?

@ag11 - An Annoucement has now been posted by @Quicken Kathryn confirming my suspicions that your CC-503 issue (and mine with the Sears Mastercard) is likely due to Citi upgrading the connection for your SYW Mastercard from EWC to EWC+:
Have you tried to change your connection method to EWC+ as suggested in my prior post? If so, did it work?

@ag11 - Were you able to establish a download connection for your SYW Mastercard?
As mentioned earlier, my initial tests of the reauthorization process in a couple of test files worked flawlessly. But starting yesterday I was getting prompted to upgrade my Sears Card connection in my primary file from EWC to EWC+ and it is failing. Others are reporting the same with their Citi Retail Services credit cards.:
So, it seems Citi Retail Services is encountering issues with their migration from EWC to EWC+.
UPDATE: In a test file this evening I was finally able to add my Citi Sears Card account with the EWC+ connection method….but I needed to temporarily disable all of my browser's add-on extensions BEFORE doing Add Account. Tomorrow I will try to migrate this card in my primary data file to EWC+.
