It's working for me this morning. Pretty smooth except I was prompted twice for MFA security information

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭✭

The above worked for me as well. Add Account. Thanks @Sandi Spires

  • Quicken Mac Subscription Member ✭✭

Mine connected as well this morning.

I just tried to reccoenct my Target acc and it worked…

Could I please have an AMEN!?!

For those scratching their heads, the double MFA makes perfect sense. The first is for the establishment of the connection. The second is for the transaction download. This should be a one off behavior.

Bottom line: We're back in business. Thank you to both Target and Quicken.

Thanks to all! 4-3-25 Target Credit card is working for me as well (Classic Quicken Deluxe for Windows.) Thanks to all for the double authentication information… reset mine using phone text and all went fine today. Not sure why, but for me it did some funky thing with changing my beginning balance, but once I figured that out all is reconciled.

    FIXED! Now on to BMO

  • Quicken Mac Subscription Member ✭✭

Well, one last gripe. Target wants to send a code every time it makes a connection. I guess it considers a Quicken log in equivalent to a regular log in? If that makes sense…

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭✭

Yeah, not sure how long I will put up with that. I don't live near a target anymore but I do use them when I travel, so I may just take that one out of one step update.

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

I have had the same problem the last two mornings. I am prompted for an SMS or email code just like I have to enter every time I log into their website. Once I input the code, my transaction are downloaded.

  • Quicken Mac Subscription Member ✭✭

@Quicken Jasmine Can we put this back onto the "unresolved" list based on this new email code prompt every time Quicken connects? This is definitely not a good look, especially because Quicken basically stops letting you do anything until you put a code in.

I just followed the process to reconnect to Target National Bank. I entered the new UserID and Password that I set up when this problem started a week ago. I was able to connect to Target National Bank and had the verification sent to my email. The weird thing was that I had to do it twice . Then I ran a download in Quicken on Target and got the blue flags highlighted matching the 3 manual transactions I entered. previously. Show Inspector has all the transaction data correct.

I am running Quicken Mac; will have to wait to buy something at target, not enter manually into quicken and see if the download still works

Works for me now too. Running Quicken Mac.

  • Quicken Mac Subscription Member ✭✭

Me as well on the Mac version.

I'm having the same problem with Target. It now downloads but requires MF identification every time a download is initiated.

Same issue as others. Must get & enter MFA code every time. A big pain! I hope it can be corrected as I love my RedCard.

  • Member ✭✭✭

Having to do an MFA every time and it not working to get a code by phone (only e-mail) is a pain. fix this please, TD bank and Target. I would hate to stop shopping at Target because of this.

It works now but I am prompted for 2FA every single time

  • Member ✭✭✭

Target issue still persists. Issue NOT resolved.

  • Quicken Mac Subscription Member ✭✭

I already stopped shopping there because of this and disconnected Quicken from Target.

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

Thanks to those that have been working on these issues. It's better, but still not perfect. I agree that the 2FA every time there is a download is a nuisance. And it doesn't send anything to my phone, only my email. (I'm using Quicken Classic Deluxe on Windows.)

  • Member ✭✭✭

This worked for me today as well. (keeping fingers crossed)

I thought I'd update since I hadn't seen anything new. Target still prompts for MFA when Quicken tries to access. Is there any sort of update on whether they will stop doing that?

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

Thanks for the update, WaterLover. I've disconnected my Target card, so I won't know if the MFA issue gets fixed, unless someone posts to this thread. Since there hasn't been any update for 10 days, I was going to reconnect and give it a try this morning, but you saved me the trouble.
