Importing transactions from Scotiabank to Quicken Classic Mac - nothing happens

I've been a LONGTIME user of Quicken Windows. I do not like Quicken but have continued to use it because I've never found anything "less bad".
I recently purchased a Mac and have started using Quicken Classic for Mac.
I followed the instructions to import my Quicken file from Windows to Mac. That seemed to go OK.
I then tried setting up One Step Update. Turns out Scotiabank no longer supports this, which majorly sucks, although I note it still works on my old, Windows-based computer.
Reverting back to the "old school" method of downloading individual qfx files for my accounts, I see that the new Scotiabank website interface has a "Download as Quicken" option. I chose this, imported the file bur for some reason it is not download all the recent files. It's presently April 8 and for one of my accounts it downloaded to April 2 and on another account only until Feb 28. If I try redownloading the file and importing it to Quicken, it appears to open the file but nothing happens. No transactions added. No pop up window to tell me the import status. Nothing.
If I switch back to "classic view" in Scotia Online and then try to download the qfx file it does so and seemed to download a couple of extra days, but still not all the transactions.
Suggestions?

Hello @Chris11,
Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To clarify, you're downloading a QFX file from the financial institution, but when you import it into Quicken, you are missing some, but not all, transactions?
If that is the case, it is most likely something on the financial institution's side. When you download, are you verifying that the date range is covering all the transactions you need to import? Have you opened the QFX file and verified that the transactions you're expecting to import into Quicken are all there? If the transactions are not in the QFX file, then you would need to contact the financial institution for assistance. For more information about troubleshooting Web Connect (QFX), please review this article.
If the transactions are in the QFX file, but not importing into Quicken, make sure that the register is sorted by date and all filters are off (just in case the transactions did import, but were not visible due to sort or being filtered out).
You may also want to double check your other accounts (just in case they did import, but went to the wrong account).
Were any of those transactions already imported, but then later deleted? If that is what happened, then you would need to fill in those transactions manually (or restore a backup from before they were deleted), since Quicken remembers what was imported and won't import it a second time.
Some financial institutions limit what is available via Web Connect (QFX) to the latest statement date. If that is the case for your financial institution, you may not be able to import the missing transactions until your next statement comes out.
I hope this helps!
Quicken Kristina
