Frequently get proposed Placeholders from Quicken for Schwab MMF

Very frequently Quicken proposes a Placeholder the the Schwab MMF where the "Shares Reported" is incorrectly listed as a "round" number with no fractional shares, while the actual number of shares at Schwab, is a figure that includes fractional shares and is in perfect agreement with Quicken's Holdings in the Account.

The 4/7/25 holdings also included fractional shares but was correctly reported on that date. I did buy more of the Schwab MMF on the 10th so thetr seems to be some sort of lag in the process either on the Schwab or Quicken side, but I don't know why that would be the case. Fractional share transactions aren't at all uncommon but for some reason the reporting is "off" with the MMF.

These proposed Placeholders aren't a big deal, I've never found one to be correct and now routinely dismiss them. But I do sorta wonder why it happens.

    Hello @Tom Young,

Could you please send over a problem report so we can investigate how Schwab is sending the data and how Quicken is interpreting it?

Let me know once you have done so!

In your screenshot the number is off by more than fractional shares. 878 vs 877. The difference is fractional, but that really doesn't count because that is just Quicken doing the math. And I note that this doesn't even seem to be a rounding error since .38 would never be rounded up to the next integer.

And as for "lag". I have seen lagging in multiple financial institutions, in different forms. For Chase for instance, their "cash securities" always lag the buy/sell transactions.
