Transactions from fidelity missed randomly

I have Quicken for MAC version 8.1.2. Some transactions from fidelity are not downloaded. I don't see any pattern. Repeated updating doesn't solve the issue. When I key-in manually it does not update share balance but shows grayed out entry as negative transaction dated as 1st transaction date of that account.

Hello @vip,
Thank you for letting us know you're having this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. When did you first notice this issue? If you have more than one Fidelity account, is this affecting all of them, or just one?
If you haven't already done so, I recommend following these troubleshooting steps from this article on missing transactions/transactions not downloading:
- Has the sort order been changed in your account register? Confirm that the Sort Order in your account register is by Date. If it is not, click on the top of the Date column in your account register. Your missing transactions could be in your register, just not where you thought they would be.
- Do you have any filters set? Click the Clear Filters button to the right of the account register’s filter dropdowns. This will confirm that there is no filtering in your account register.
- Are your missing transactions over 90 days old? Transaction download is typically limited to the last 90 to 200 days, depending on the financial institution. If you need transaction history that was not included in your initial download, you have the option to import transactions using Web Connect. For more information on Web Connect, click here.
- Are these transactions still marked as “pending” on your financial institution's website? Even though the pending transaction is authorized and displayed on your financial institution's website, most will not allow transactional history to be downloaded unless the transactions are cleared.
- Are you using Web Connect? Some banks will only allow you to download transaction history to Quicken after the statement close date of that account. This means that you will not see any new transactions until the statement closes.
- Was the missing transaction incorrectly matched to another transaction in the register? This is common with repeating payments made to the same payee for the same amount.
- Have you deleted transactions recently? You may have deleted the transaction in error. Downloaded transactions cannot be redownloaded and would have to be added manually.
- Was the transaction moved from one account register to another? Click on All Transactions above the account list. If you find the transaction(s) that you are looking for are in another account, click and drag the missing transaction(s) to the correct account in the account list.
- Did you restore an older backup file after downloading transactions? Opening an older backup file will only show transactions updated to the last time that backup file was accessed, which may have been before those missing transactions were downloaded. If you believe this to be the case, update your account on your backup file.
I look forward to your response!

I have done all what you mentioned. I have set up weekly buy for a specific security from the cash reserve fund. Fidelity buys it and quicken downloads weekly but some time quicken does not download that transaction. On holding view of quicken it shows correct number of securities (compared to fidelity account) but cash reserve fund balance does not reflect correct current balance (cash amount difference in quicken is equal to those not downloaded even though security share count is correct). 5/14, 5/21 and 6/4 downloaded but missed 5/28.

Thank you for your reply,
Was this issue happening exclusively with the cash reserve fund? If so, that issue was reported (CTP-13114), and should now be fixed.
Thank you!

Thanks.
When you said "and should now be fixed", does this mean missing transactions will be downloaded when I update the account? I just updated account but cash balance still shows more than what is on Fidelity website. Amazing Quicken shows correct share balance even if some transactions are missing, but Fidelity cash reserve balance shows money not taken out. Attached are 2 screen shots, one from my Quicken, and another from Fidelity. In this sample 5/28/2025 transaction is missing on Quicken.

Thank you for your reply,
It means that there shouldn't be any further missing transactions. Any missing transactions that haven't already downloaded may need to be entered manually, or imported via QFX, if the financial institution offers that option.
Thank you!

This 15th was auto buy for this mutual fund. As of now, quicken portfolio value shows correct share balance but quicken cash balance is $100 more than what fidelity shows. Since share balance is correct, I assume quicken program/code has some bases to update the share balance but it does not record the transaction which will update cash balance. I can not plan future investments if I don't know correct cash available.
Thanks

Thank you for your reply,
To clarify, does that mean that you are still having an issue with transactions from the mutual fund not downloading?
If that is the case, then please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached. Please make sure to provide information on at least 3 of the transactions that are missing (date, payee, and amount). That information can be used to verify if the financial institution is sending those transactions to Quicken.
Please post to the discussion to let me know when/if you sent the problem report.
If that is not the issue, then please provide more information exactly what is happening.
Thank you!

Which log file and where to find the file you want?

Thank you for your reply,
You can find the logs by going to Help>Report a Problem in your Quicken. The problem report should have the logs pre-selected.
The ones needed to check for transaction information are the HTTP log and the OFX log. Please make sure at least those 2 logs are selected, provide date, payee, and amount of three of the missing transactions, then click the Send to Quicken button.
Thank you!
