Not able to add NYCERS account - keep getting CC-501 error

Anyone able to connect to their NYCERS account (stands for NYC Employees' Retirement System)? I recently opened a NYCERS account and saw that Quicken has it listed among the 14000+ supported institutions. However, when I try to add it, it keeps failing with "Oops. We're having a problem. CC-501".

I have been getting this error for three days in a row. I tried calling Quicken Support, but they weren't any help. They initially told they don't support it, which makes no sense since it is listed (along with the official logo and

website URL). It obviously worked at one point. The most I was told is that they would look into it but won't give an ETA on when or if this will be fixed.

It is quite disappointing that Quicken support could not resolve this or give it priority. I also use Credit Karma to track my accounts and had no problems adding my NYCERS account in their app.

    Hello @mcadenillas,

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue.

When Support told you that the account isn't supported, they were basing that statement off of what shows in the FIDIR (list of supported financial institutions).

For New York City Employees Retirement, it shows that banking account information is supported, but does not show investment accounts.

It is possible that the financial institution simply doesn't support that account type. However, if you would like me to further investigate this issue, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached.

I look forward to your response!

    Hello Quicken Kristina,

I just read your post and sent a problem report. Please let me know what you find.

As I mentioned before, Credit Karma let me add my NYCERS account without any issues.

    Thank you,

    Mike

    Thank you for your reply,

I reviewed the logs, and the logs also show that investment accounts are not supported on that connection.

Unfortunately, that does mean that investment accounts with NYCERS are not supported in Quicken. That is why it's giving you the CC-501 error. It's recognizing that your credentials are valid, but there are no supported accounts available to add. Have you contacted NYC Employees' Retirement System about this?

    Thank you!

I have reached out to NYCERS. They said there is nothing they can do.

I would suggest looking into getting this to work, especially since there are competitive apps like Credit Karma that are able to capture the data from NYCERS.

Also keep in mind that Quicken must have been able to add accounts from NYCERS at some point. Otherwise, Quicken would not list it as a supported site in its own wizard.

    Thank you for your reply,

We understand how important this connection is, and we appreciate you taking the time to reach out to NYCERS directly. While we recognize that NYCERS is listed as a supported financial institution in Quicken, it's important to note that the type of support they provide is determined by the financial institution itself.

At this time, NYCERS does not support investment account downloads into Quicken. This limitation is set on their end, and unfortunately, it's not something we’re able to change from our side. We’re always working to maintain and expand connectivity, but ultimately, it’s up to the financial institution to determine what data can be accessed through Quicken.

We appreciate your understanding, and we’ll continue to advocate for broader support where possible.

    Thank you!
