Coinbase Updated to New Login

As of today, 4/23/2025, Quicken Classic for Mac has changed how to login into Coinbase and retrieve account(s) digital currency information. It used the Coinbase account userid and password as opposed to the Coinbase API key previously used (and not working for quite a while now). While I was able to login and create a new Coinbase account in Quicken, there was no way to link to the previous individual crypto currency wallets. Instead just one new Coinbase account that has the individual crypto currencies. Only Simple investing was allowed (so no transaction data) and while the total for my Coinbase account is accurate, the individual currency information is not and shows inaccurate prices and totals although the number of shares is correct. Bottom line, a start, but much more work needs to be done to get this to be useful other than the account totals.
Anyone else have a different / better experience with the new Coinbase update?

Well, two days later and not working again. Quicken asked me to reauthorize my Coinbase account which I did and when it connected to Coinbase it said my account has a new account number and when I linked it to my existing Coinbase account in Quicken it shows a wrong account total. I then deleted my Coinbase account and added it new and now it shows a zero account balance and no digital currencies.
Clearly, this needs alot of work!
Anybody, else experiencing this?

Starting partially working again today, April 29, 2025. Account total is correct but individual digital currencies prices are incorrect so portfolio and dashboard tabs are showing incorrect totals although the number of share for each currency is correct. I sent in two problem reports over the last few days so maybe Quicken support or Coinbase has fixed something since I can at least connect to my Coinbase account and get the account total.
Anyone, please comment with your experiences if you use Coinbase.

As of yesterday, 5/3/2025, the Coinbase account totals are no longer accurate.
Anyone else having this problem?

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To clarify, Simple investing is the only choice and you're seeing an incorrect market value? Is the portfolio information correct? Is it reflecting correct holdings/amounts?

I understand that only Simple investing is available but hoping Quicken and Coinbase will upgrade to Detailed investing. The account balance is intermittently correct / incorrect from day to day. The portfolio total is always incorrect as the portfolio holdings are showing incorrect share prices.

Just to clarify, the Coinbase portfolio is showing the correct number of shares for each holding but the share price is incorrect and widly so. For example, the Bitcoin share price shows $47.47 as of this morning and Bitcoin is currently trading at $106,371.45.

Is it showing the correct name for your holdings, but an incorrect market value, or is the name for your holdings also incorrect?

Coinbase shows the wrong Portfolio market value as the individual digital currencies show wrong share prices. Also, the account total in the account list column intermittently shows the correct value or the wrong Portfolio market value. The Portfolio market value number is always wrong. My holdings show as Coinbase Vault entries even though none of my holdings are in Coinbase Vaults. So for example, Bitcoin shows as BTC Vault instead of just BTC so this may be contributing to the errors. I submitted an error report describing the problem.

one day it is quoting the price for Bitcoin and the next it was showing for
BTC:NYSE Arca
Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF – BTC ETFYou would expect that by setting 'Type' under 'Secuity Details' as 'Crypto', it would not source for the ETF.
Also, for anybody staking ETH, Coinbase indicated that those are technicsally in your account and won't be downloaded to Quicken.

Echoing @TPA-Qkn… I was amazed for about 4 seconds that the login worked and asset imports were relatively close - but hopes were dashed as the prices that were reflected instantly changed to ETFs and other irrelevant, non-crypto assets.
For now I have told Quicken to stop automatically matching with online securities, and manually update the prices.
Keen to see how long proper matching will take to roll out, and what a mess the account will be when I open the app tomorrow! :D
