Scotiabank file no longer able to be imported into Quicken.

I just upgraded Quicken with Version 8.1.2 (Build 801.56902.100) and my Scotiabank Visa downloads are no longer able to be imported. Not sure if it was the upgrade or if something changed with Scotiabank. Any ideas how to troubleshoot? Scotiabank's classic website allows me to download the qfx file but Quicken gives the message "Unable to read the selected Web Connect file."
TIA.

Hello @nasrogers_7533,
Thanks for reaching out!
To help narrow down what’s going wrong, have you noticed if this issue occurs with just your Scotiabank Visa, or are other account types affected too? When you try importing the QFX file, is Quicken not recognizing it at all, or does it partially load before throwing the error? Have you opened the QFX file in a text editor to check if it contains data, or does it seem incomplete or malformed?
As a next step, could you try creating a new test file in Quicken (go to File > New), then attempt importing the same QFX file into that test file? This can help determine whether the problem lies with your main data file or the file format itself.
Let me know what you find!

I am having the same problem of not being able to import a QFX file created by Scotiabank into Quicken. It occurs with several types of Scotiabank accounts (chequing, credit cards).
I reviewed one of the QFX files in Notepad to confirm data was sitting in the QFX file created by Scotiabank.
There is no error message showing for me when I attempt to import the file.

I have attempted to create a new test file in Quicken then imported the same QFX file into that test file successfully.
What is the next step?

it is just Scotiabank visa. It worked fine until I accepted the upgrade of Quicken. I did go to an older file I created from the Scotiabank classic site… one that I previously imported without issue. That file also now gives the same message and fails. I think this means it is a Quicken issue as it worked fine before the update and no longer works afterwards. Is there a way to downgrade if a bug was introduced?

I have re-opened my original Quicken data file and attempted to import the Scotiabank QFX files again and they now appear to be working successfully.

Interesting, I am happy to hear that you were able to import the QFX into your main file.
Please let me know if the issue returns, and we will continue troubleshooting!

solved. I closed all apps, shut down the laptop and restarted. Scotiabank had a known issue with their classic view download. I was able to download from Scotiabank’s new website and import.
