Mr. Cooper

I have Mr. Cooper connected, it knows the bill is due. Twice this month I tried using Quick Pay as I have in the past and each time it came back failing.

This has seemed to be an on again off again problem with Mr. Cooper and Quick Pay. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Not only is this annoying but it creates an issue with paying the monthly bill. I end up having to go to their website and process a payment there, as I also have to do each month with my Chase credit card statements as they don't accept Quick Pay.

I really wish connections with Payees worked better

    Hello @chip.gilbert,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I checked on the status of your payment and see that it was canceled due to a connection issue with Mr. Cooper. Because of this, we recommend reaching out to them directly to make your payment. Or you may use an alternate method to send the payment (such as your bank's bill pay, if that is an offered feature).

I hope this clears things up!

I knew the issue was a connection issue, it seems that this happens quite frequently, so you are pointing the finger at Mr Cooper as being the problem? What I don't understand is why the biller is connected fine, yet payments fail and I've always used Quick Pay with them even previously on the Windows version.

Just seems to me that the connection issues need to be worked out between Quicken and the billers, when I set up payments I expect them to be there on time, only to find out they failed yet the integration seems to be intact.

    Very frustrating, thank you

    Hello @chip.gilbert,

Totally hear your frustration, and you're absolutely right—it should just work, especially when the biller shows as connected and everything looks fine on the surface.

To clarify, we’re not trying to shift blame onto Mr. Cooper—it’s more about how the connection between them and our third-party bill payment provider can sometimes get disrupted, even if the account still appears linked. Unfortunately, Quick Pay relies on a very specific data exchange that can fail even when the basic connection holds.

I agree that these kinds of inconsistencies are frustrating, especially when it affects something as time-sensitive as a mortgage. Your feedback is valid and definitely helps push these issues up the priority list with our integration team.

In the meantime, I’d suggest keeping an eye on scheduled Quick Pay transactions and using a manual payment or bank bill pay as a backup for now—just to be safe.
