Schwab account not working again.

I have posted elsewhere about an issue where one of my Schwab accounts won't update and I have to go through the account download set-up again to get the update to complete correctly. Even though the update completes no transactions downloaded for that account (there should be some.) This behavior suddenly stopped and all was working as expected. But yesterday things went back to this one account not working. I have included the error message. Schwab says this is a Quicken issue but I'm not so sure.

    Hello @Demoleon,

We appreciate you reaching about this issue!

I checked internally and don’t see any errors currently occurring with your Schwab connection. Based on the error you’re seeing in Quicken, I recommend fully resetting the connection by following these steps:

Step 1: Deactivate All Schwab Accounts in Quicken

    • Go to Accounts > Hide and Show Accounts and make sure no Schwab accounts are hidden.
    • Open each Schwab account register.
    • Click the Settings gear in the bottom-right corner.
    • Navigate to the Downloads tab and select Disconnect Account (repeat for each Schwab account). image.png
    • Quit Quicken when done.

Step 2: Remove Schwab Credentials from Keychain Access

    • Open Spotlight (the magnifying glass in the top-right corner of your screen). image.png
    • Search for and open Keychain Access.
    • On the left, select Login, then click Passwords at the top.
    • Search for any entries related to Charles Schwab or Quicken password for [your username] at Charles Schwab, and delete them.
    • Quit Keychain Access.

Step 3: Unlink Quicken from Schwab on Their Website

    • Log into your Charles Schwab account via their website.
    • Select Profile (top right corner)
    • Select Security Settings
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page
    • Locate Third-Party Access to Account Information to unlink from Quicken

Step 4: Re-add Your Schwab Accounts in Quicken

    • Reopen Quicken.
    • Go to Accounts > Add Account.
    • Search for Charles Schwab, then click Continue.
    • Follow the prompts to sign in and reauthorize the connection.
    • When your accounts are found, make sure to link them to the correct existing accounts in Quicken.

Let us know how it goes!

I think this did the trick. I had disconnected and re-connected before but never did all the rest of the stuff you suggest. Seems like that did it!

    Thanks!

I tried this. My screens are a little different (I did "deactivate" instead of "disconnect" on my Quicken Classic Premier desktop version and went into "passwords" instead of Keychain). But it didn't help. I still have a load of transactions to manually enter for May in our joint investment account and in my IRA. My husband's IRA, though, is working correctly. Any ideas?

This did not work in Schwab Workplace, because the Menu items Anja refers to have since changed…

Any Suggestions - as to where to Deactivate from Third Party Access to Account
