Transactions disappeared from register, months after they had already been reconciled

I am using Quicken Classic Starter, and have been using Quicken since 2000. I was reconciling an account today and the beginning balance was off from last months' reconciliation. I finally found the problem, there were about 27 transactions over the last year that were missing, all were recurring monthly transactions and all were to charities. I reconcile the account each month, so I know the transactions were there up until a month ago.

Hello @bcoots54,
Thanks for reporting this issue! That definitely sounds frustrating.
In situations like this, the best solution is to restore a backup file from before the problem began. Quicken automatically creates backups, so you may be able to recover your data with minimal loss. Please refer to this support article for instructions on restoring a backup.
Once restored, double-check that the missing transactions are present and re-reconcile the account if needed.
Hope this helps!

This is also happening to me. The first time I worked with support for a few hours to get back up and running. My fault for not looking up a better way before retyping about 30 transactions back in. This time I did the restore then had to catch up on all my downloads & reconciles. Is this a new issue with Quicken? I like the product but refuse to pay for a product that is causing extra work rather than simplifying my life.
Anyone else running into this issue? My backup is about 42 MB. Support wanted me to do things to reduce the size of my current file. I don't think that answer should be acceptable.
