Just curious, I occasionally respond to Water Cooler conversations, if I have something to add. Which BTW,I enjoy reading. But what does the Quicken team mean by this?

@Jeff76 here is a post that explains what badges are and how they work -

@Jeff76 In my opinion, Badges are pretty meaningless. It's part of the "gamification" of this form of social media site. (This is not a Quicken invention; it's something built into the commercial platform they're using to host this site, and this "gamification" appears in different forms on other sites as well.) Perhaps some users get some satisfaction from "earning" badges. A few of them, such as the number of "Helpful" or "Answer" badges might be useful in assessing how you assess an individual replying to you or posting in a topic of interest. But I find just looking at when someone joined, how many posts and how many comments they have made is a pretty good indicator of someone's longevity and involvement here. Just my 2¢…

Yea, Badges are fun to look at here but what are they worth? They reflect the opinion of the people who use this website. And opinions, mine, and everyone else's are like, well, you know. Everyone has one 😉
