Attachments no longer available to view

I recently had a problem with my file. Quicken support couldn't resolve the issue and had me create a new file. While on the call, I discovered that none of my attachments - years of scanned receipts - were no longer visible in the old file. Support person said "Quicken is not meant for permanent storage." But isn't that the whole point of scanning them in…to be able to research detail or print them out…in case we need them? I've been using Q for more than 20 years and am flabbergasted.

    Hello @arforeman,

Thank you for sharing your experience—understandably, losing access to years of attachments is incredibly frustrating, especially given how long you’ve been using Quicken.

To help us investigate this further and review the support interaction, could you please provide the ticket number from your call with Quicken Support? This will allow us to pull the case, better understand what happened, and follow up internally to ensure the agent is coached if needed.

    Thank you!

BTW, have you verified that your register settings still include the option to view attachments?
In the old file that may have changed, accidentally.
In the new file, Preference settings will be different from the ones used in the old file.

In the banking account register click the Register Columns icon (it's located next to the "Balance" column title).
In the Register Columns popup look for the Attachments line and make sure it has a checkmark next to it. If not, click it to turn on the checkmark.
