Quicken Not Recognizing CD's from Merrill Already in Quicken

I've purchased three CDs in my Merrill investment account and have been tracking them in Quicken, along with my other investments. However, after upgrading my Merrill login—as Quicken required by August 12, 2025—Quicken no longer recognizes those CDs correctly.

Each time I update the account, Quicken adds the CDs again, marking them as missing and prompting me to enter share information. This results in an overstated account balance by the value of the three CDs. I didn’t have this issue before the login update. Although I delete the duplicate CDs, they reappear every time I sync the account.

How can I resolve this issue?

I am using a 27" iMac with Intel processor

Using Quicken Classic Deluxe Version 8.2.1 (Build 802.57282.100)

Hello @kjbrad55,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. Based on the screenshots you provided, it looks like the formatting for the data may have been changed enough that Quicken doesn't recognize them as the same CDs that are already in your file.

To correct this, I recommend that you backup your Quicken file, then try merging securities that Quicken keeps adding with the existing ones. For information on merging securities, please see this help article: https://info.quicken.com/mac/merging-securities
