After recent fidelity update, securities are being duplicated

When I update Fidelity, Quicken adds shares for a security that is already in Quicken (that security is now duplicated for the exact same # of shares).

I have tried renaming securities, but that has not worked. I have to delete the add shares transaction done by Quicken.

The 2 securities I am having this issue with are FRGXX and VIGIX. For some reason, Quicken is not recognizing that I already have these shares in Quicken.

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To clarify, are these duplicated securities exactly identical, or do they have the same ticker, but a slightly different name? If the name is slightly different, that may be why Quicken isn't recognizing that it's the same security.

You may be able to merge the duplicate security with the original one to force Quicken to see that they're the same. For information on merging securities, please see this help article: https://info.quicken.com/mac/merging-securities

Thanks - merging the securities appeared to work!!!

When I merged them I got a pop up message "The price history for these securities is different on 10 dates. On the dates with different prices, Quicken will keep the quote from the security you picked."

Perhaps that was the issue - the price history was different for some reason.
