QFX issues w/new WIN 11 computer

QFX exports from Credit Union and Chase credit cards result in download to File manager as an OFX file asking me to save it. I can open it and it goes to the proper account.

Only change was WIN 10 computer hard drive crashed 1 week before. QFX exports went directly to proper account.

Check to see that File Type = QFX is associated with "Quicken Windows" as the Default Program to open this file type with.
This is done either in Control Panel or in your browser's settings.
It can also be done by right-clicking a saved QFX file and selecting "Open with" … you'll see a prompt to make the program selection (Quicken Windows) the default.

Once the file type is associated with Quicken, the file will open automatically.

Thanks for reaching out with this issue!

@UKR's advice is spot on, and I do agree with his advice.

Please give it a shot and let us know!

UKR, Q W is the default for .qfx files in control panel. Don't see any option to do this in browser (Chrome). I am selecting .qfx to download at my credit union and Chase card accounts but they are downloading as .ofx. OSU is working fine but not available for credit union and not used for Chase card.

Some browsers obey the system settings for file types, others have their own settings, and others won't allow you to open a file from inside of the web browser at all. You have to save it to disk and then open it.

I don't use Chrome (I use MS Edge) so I don't know if it has its own settings.

EDIT: To check if the system settings are working, you can save a QFX file to disk, and then with Windows File Explorer double click on the QFX file, it should open/import into Quicken.
