Weird connection issue with MACU (Mountain America Credit Union)

I recently got a new auto loan from MACU. I am trying to connect this account in Quicken, but I get the "did you mistype your password" error. I tried several times and keep getting this error. When it attempts to connect Quicken reports that it can't connect to ANY of my 8 MACU accounts. I then update all accounts and the other 8 re-connect/download just fine. But the new auto loan still won't connect. Eventually, if I keep trying, I get a CC-929 error, which I assume is too many failed attempts. Anyway, the credentials work on the bank site and with Quicken, unless I try to add the new loan. Is there some kind of account limit at a single FI?

    Hello @JoeyMaggard,

Thanks for the details. If there’s a limit on the number of accounts you can connect at a single financial institution, only MACU can confirm that.

Regarding the CC-929 error, this occurs when there are too many unsuccessful attempts to add an account. Here’s a support article with guidance. Note that the instructions in the article are for Quicken Windows—below are the Quicken Mac equivalent steps:

    1. Navigate to the Quicken dropdown menu
    2. Sign Out... image.png
    3. Sign back in using your Quicken ID (email) and password
    4. Follow the prompts to be taken back to your data file after signing in

After signing back in, try adding the new auto loan account again. If the problem persists, please contact Quicken Support for further assistance.

    Thank you!

Thanks for confirming what I suspected about the CC-929 error. This still doesn't explain QUICKEN telling me my password is incorrect and marking all 8 accounts as unable to connect, only to connect when I do an update. If I can't add another account, one would think QUICKEN would tell me to contact my FI, not tell me that my password (which works on the MACU website AND when I run update all accounts) is wrong. I was hoping someone else in the community had seen something similar, but I guess I'll have to settle in for the long slog of getting through to someone at Quicken support.

I disconnected two accounts that I barely use from Quicken, Tried to add the loan again. Same errors. So it is not too many accounts. I also tried to connect with direct connect, there are two alternatives for MACU, but that gives me an error that says they are not accepting new devices. Any ideas? Also, the accounts I disconnected won't re-connect either.
