good evening,

how do I in Quicken Mac, automatically change the date on printed check to print the date printed and not the date entered?

I could not find anything in settings to change the date to check date printed.

Thanks…. Steve

I don't think there's any mechanism in Quicken Mac for a variable date which is updated when a check is printed. Of course, when entering a check, you can enter any future date you wish, but there's no way to have Quicken change the date based on when you print the check.

That said, prior to printing checks, you could do a Search for "PRINT" to find all the checks you've entered but not yet printed, and then edit the date on the one(s) you are going to print that day. That's a manual process, but unless you print many dozens of checks each week, I don't think it would take more than a few seconds to adjust a few dates before printing checks.

    Hello @Cooch366,

Thank you for your post! I agree with @jacobs—currently Quicken for Mac doesn’t have a way to automatically update the check date to the date printed. The best option for now is to manually adjust the date before printing.

That said, I’ve gone ahead and converted your post into an Idea so that other users who would like to see this functionality can vote for it by clicking the up arrow (see example below).
