Frequent Account Reset
I have to reset some of my accounts on-line access frequently, like every few weeks. It's particularly frequent with Chase Bank. Why is that happening, and what can I do to reduce this? It's aggravating because I only find out it's needed when I notice a transaction that hasn't cleared in Quicken yet, but shows in my on-line bank account.

Hello @George4,
Thanks for sharing your experience—having to reset accounts frequently can definitely be frustrating, especially when it impacts tracking transactions accurately.
Since you’re on the latest release of Quicken, that’s a good starting point. For banks like Chase that use the Express Web Connect+ connection method, the most effective approach to reduce repeated resets is to essentially reconnect the accounts cleanly:
- Back up your Quicken data file before making any changes.
- Deactivate all Chase accounts from Quicken temporarily.
- Revoke Quicken’s third-party access on the Chase website.
- Reactivate the accounts in Quicken, and when prompted, choose “Link to existing” for any accounts that were previously in Quicken.
This process ensures the connection is refreshed and can help prevent the frequent reset issues you’ve been seeing.
Please let us know if this resolves the problem or if the resets continue.
Thank you!
