I have been getting a CC-505 error trying to update my Fidelity account in Quicken for at least a week.
I was just on hold with the Quicken support line for 2 hours and 12 minutes. No one ever answered. I am trying to see when, if ever, Quicken will work with Fidelity again.
Anyone have any insight/information?

Is Quicken really investigating this? Elan Financial Services says they're not having any issues.

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing a similar problem, but a different error code. When did you first notice this error? Are you seeing the error when trying to add an account into your Quicken or when trying to update an existing account?
Since it is a different error code, have you tried making a backup of your file and following the troubleshooting steps in our article on CC-503 errors?

I am using the Mac version and get a different error but essentially the same behavior, I am unable to connect. It should be noted that when I go to the Elan Website for my Fidelity card there is no issue logging in.

Thank you for sharing your experience, though I am sorry it hasn't been the best.
To address your having to stay on hold for so long, yesterday, there was an AWS outage that affected our support channels. Phones and chats were down for a large portion of the day due to this outage. I apologize for the inconvenience that caused.
As for the CC-505 error you are seeing… I checked your connections internally, and I do see you are receiving FDP-105/CC-505 with Elan Financial Services. This is a Known Issue, and our teams are currently investigating. You can bookmark the alert to stay up to date on any progress made.

I'm on Windows 11 Quicken R64.30. The problem started 10/18/2025. I receive an error CC-505 when trying to download from Elan Financial Services.
Additionally whenever I have had problems with Elan Financial Services they point at Quicken and when you get Quicken involved they point at Elan Financial Services and the the Techs at both outfits wipe their hands becaause they've handed off the problem to somebody else but no one has fixed it.

Just did an OSU…and Elan Financial Services Fidelity card download worked! No CC-505.

Mine worked this morning as well. One question I would like answered by Quicken support. Are we supposed to leave it connected to Elan Financial or are we supposed to change it to Fidelity?

@Mark Wagner , there is a slight difference between the Elan and Fidelity card downloads. The transactions in Elan are updated in the AM. The transacations for Fidelity are updated in the PM. If you do AM updates, like me, Elan is more convenient.

This problem is resolved for me on Wed 10/22. I had to re-add my Elan account, but then the download worked.

It is a personal choice as to which to use. If/when we are no longer supposed to use one or the other then the download link for it will be deactivated and (hopefully) we will get a message in Quicken to use the other one.
There are many other financial institutions that give us different download link options so this optional Fidelity vs Elan is not unique.
Personally, I currently have my Fidelity Rewards cards downloaded via Fidelity Investments instead of Elan because for the last 3+ months or so it seems to be the most stable and reliable connection. In the past I would alternate back and forth between the two whenever one of the connections would become troublesome. Being able to do that saved me a lot of headaches and frustration.

If it doesn’t really matter that would be an answer too but I haven’t heard a real answer from Quicken one way or another. If it doesn’t matter I’ll just keep it the way I have it (connected to Elan) as I update every morning as well.

Interesting, I don’t have any others that have alternate download methods/connections but it might just be due to the specific financial institutions I use.

Uh-oh…I got a CC-505 error this AM on Elan. Did a re-try and it disappeared. Something must be lurking…..
BTW..got a Quicken update this AM. Now running R64.35. Quicken Classic Premier on Windows 11.
