Accounts with two different Fidelity logins (mine+spouse) disable one or the other's accounts

My starting state is with two different fidelity logins, and this shows up as Fidelity Investments with two different lists of accounts in the Update Summary. When I added a new account to my login, by enabling the online updating of the new account, I went through the normal authorization through logging into fidelity. That had an issue or two with the fact that there weren't transactions for some accounts, but that was normal. However when I finished the update, it claimed that there were errors on all of my spouses accounts (which are on a different login name) and marked them as disconnected. When I tried to reconnect my wife's accounts, it worked, but disconnected all of my accounts. It seems that it is now only maintaining one account list for Fidelity, even when there are two login accounts. In the past it seemed to segregate the accounts by the login name at Fidelity, but that doesn't seem to work any more.

    Hello @BEEdwards66,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

While I have seen this happen with another financial institution in the past, as far as I am aware, this should not be the case with Fidelity. You should be able to use two sets of credentials in one file.

Please contact Quicken Support directly to report this issue. They will investigate further and process an escalation if needed. Phone support is available from 5:00 am PT to 5:00 pm PT, Monday through Friday.

    Thanks again!

See if this process works for you:

Under the Tools menu, select Account List.
Click the Edit button for one of the affected accounts.
Under the Online Services tab, click deactivate.

Still in the account edit window, switch over to the General tab.
Clear the name in the Financial Institution box (you can only do this if you've already disconnected the One Step Update).
    Clear the account number.
    Click OK.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 for ALL the affected accounts.

Under the Online Services tab, click Set Up now…
Follow all the prompts for logging into your account and linking the proper online accounts to your matching Quicken accounts.
Repeat this for all the affected accounts.
Run an update for each account to make sure they are working properly. You should see that, for each account update, the update window shows the institution PLUS the end of your account numbers. (Before fixing this, it will only show the institution name, which is how you know Quicken thinks these are all under just one account.)
