I've started to realise most of the issues I have with Quicken are just existing bugs that are better reported here for fixing than in the errors/troubleshooting section. So here we go.
When I do a validate/repair in Quicken for Windows, it notifies me in the logs that an issue with my paycheck has been corrected. There is no issue with my paycheck, and when I look at the paycheck it is fine. But when I go to the tax planner, suddenly my numbers are wrong. My tax due decreases. Turns out, the capital gains I owe disappear after the the validate/repair. This happens for both regular validate and super validate. Then, if I click into the edit screen for one of my paychecks, click done, then return to the tax planner, my capital gains are back, and my tax due is correct.
Also, I can't just validate and repair then click edit in the paycheck. I first have to go to the tax center, then go back to edit the paycheck. If I just edit the paycheck right away, the tax planner will remain incorrect. Please fix this. It's really annoying.
