Quicken used to be a great SW, but every time it updates, everything gets totally screwed up. Like I can't sync with my banks, and I lose transactions. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy it now. I want to cancel

I rarely have any issues and when I do, it is normally something I have done. I have found that in some cases, it is not a Quicken issue at all. It is an issue with Windows OS or out of date network or system drivers. Sometimes what may seem like the obvious root cause is merely a symptom and NOT the true root cause.

    Hello @coeclay,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, though I am sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the product currently.

I am happy to help with the issues you are running into if you can provide some more information about them.

    • Did these issues start today?
      • If not, when did they start?
    • What banks are affected by these issues?
      • Is it one specific bank or many?
    • When you say you can't sync with your banks, are you seeing any error messages on your end?
      • If so, screenshots of what you are seeing might be helpful. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
    • Have you tried restoring a backup?
      • If these issues are recent, this may be the best option.
        • Choose the File menu > Backup and Restore > Restore from Backup File. The Restore from Backup File screen will appear.   image.png
        • If you want to restore a backup file that Quicken created automatically for you, choose Restore from automatic backups, and then select one of the backup files listed.
        • If you want to restore a backup file that you created yourself, choose Restore from your backup, and then click Browse to locate your backup.
        • Select Restore Backup. This will overwrite your current file.

If you decide to cancel your subscription, you can turn off the auto-renewal by going to Quicken.com and signing in to your account. Alternatively, you can call Quicken Support, and they can assist you with it as well. We do hope you choose to remain with Quicken.

    Looking forward to your response!

    Quicken Alyssa
