I would like to strip "Aplpay" from the beginning of payee names
I have hundreds of transactions where apple pay is used, and "aplpay" is added before the vendor name. I find this incredibly frustrating, and would like to clean it up. These are all different vendors.
Is there a way to use regular expressions to accomplish this? I can use "find and replace" to find all transactions that contain the phrase "aplpay". But, not sure what I should type in the Replace Payee filed, to retain the rest of the name. In other software one can use * or ? characters, but not sure how to do it in Quicken.

I would suggest sorting your register by the Payee field, then select ranges of transactions to do the edit/replace on.
Yes, it is tedious work, but once you've done it a couple of times, it gets easier.
If you only have a couple of a given Payee, you can highlight the changed Payee in the first transaction, do a Ctrl-C to copy, then move to the next transaction, do a Ctrl-V to paste, then a return to save and move on the next and do a paste again.

Also for Payees that you use regularly, you can use Renaming Rules to clean up the Payee names going forward. For example, if the downloaded name is aplpay Starbucks, the rule would be IF the downloaded Payee name contains Starbucks THEN Rename the downloaded payee to Starbucks. Unfortunately this only works if there is white space around the word or words you are looking for.
