Add a True “Every X Days” Recurrence Option for Paycheck Reminders
Quicken for Windows currently allows paycheck reminders to repeat only on a weekday‑anchored schedule (e.g., “Every 2 weeks on Thursday”). This prevents accurate tracking for millions of US Federal Government users whose pay cycles follow a true 14‑day interval, not a weekday‑based biweekly pattern. Please add a date‑based recurrence option such as “Every X days” to Paycheck Reminders.
This is not a niche issue. A true 14‑day pay cycle is used by:
- The majority of U.S. federal civilian employees
- Most DoD civilians
- Numerous state and municipal agencies
- Private employers who use 14‑day payroll intervals
According to publicly available workforce data, this affects more than 1.8 million federal civilian employees, as well as other employers that follow the same schedule.
I believe this functionality existed previously but was removed for no apparent reason.

Pardon me if I am missing something, but how is every two weeks on <day of week> different from every 14 days?
The Paycheck setup is a little confusing in that you must select the starting date before selecting the interval.
[adding] Regarding the Federal pay schedule, I see that it is every 2 weeks on Wednesday, or a day earlier if Wednesday is a holiday as it is in November this year. EFT pay dates are every 2 weeks on Friday unless Friday is a holiday.
There was a request for this sort of holiday-adjusted and other interval timing several years ago, and actually there is still an open but very stale Idea on this, with a lot of related discussion.
