Ol-293-A Error message when connecting to PNC Bank

I have not been able to connect to my PNC Bank accounts since 1/6/2026. I keep getting the message that there is unexpected information from my financial institution. I have used Quicken with PNC for more than 30 years and this is the first time connection problems have not resolved themselves in a day or two. Does anyone have suggestions or can tell me how to describe this problem to PNC if I have to call them? Thanks.

    Hello @Taw317,

Thanks for reaching out! The OL‑293 error indicates that Quicken isn’t receiving the expected response from your bank’s server. This can happen even if you can sign in to PNC’s website normally. Common causes include temporary server issues, outdated login credentials, or mismatched account settings in Quicken.

You can try the following steps:

    1. Verify account services in Quicken:
      1. Go to Tools > Account List image.png
      2. click Edit for your PNC account, and in Account Details make sure the services match what PNC currently provides.
    2. Verify your password: Go to Tools > One Step Update, uncheck other accounts, click the key icon next to PNC, and enter your current password.
    3. Refresh your online account info: In your register, click the Actions gear icon (or press Ctrl + Shift + N) and follow the prompts to update.

If the problem persists after these steps, you may need to contact PNC directly and ask to speak with an online services specialist who handles transaction download issues.
