Why am I suddenly seeing odd glitches with basic data entry (Q Mac)

I've suddenly run into problems with basic data entry on Quicken for Mac. When I try to enter returns as positive values it will work for small figures (exp $14) but won't do the same with larger ones (ex: $800). Also when I try to enter basic transactions I can enter 10 or 12 transactions but then I'm unable to enter more. Any suggestions?

Version 8.4.2 (Build 804.59835.100). macOS 15.7.3

    @BKman Well, that sounds like very odd behavior. So if you're entering transactions, what happens after you get through 10 or 12 and say you are unable to enter any more? Do you get an error message? Does the program crash? Does selecting New Transaction (or Command-N) simply not do anything? Similarly, exactly what happens with you try to enter a +$800 transaction?

    Since I've never seen anything like this or heard others report it, my first thought is to do the normal "kick it" troubleshooting steps: quit Quicken, restart your Mac, relaunch Quicken, and see if anything is different. Sometimes a restart cures some very weird and unexplainable problems! 😁 But if that makes no difference, please post back with more details.
