A charge of $1.00 has been posted to my banking account twice dated, 02/17/2026. What is it for?
Is there no payee shown on those transactions? Did you recently make a purchase of/from Q?
What shows on the bank's website?
As is, you haven't told us, other Q users, anywhere NEAR enough to answer your question.
Also sometimes a small transaction is posted to verify that the account is valid. This can happen when a new biller is set up for online payment, or a new ACH deposit.
Often these are pending transactions and/or they are reversed shortly afterwards.
I've had a similar $1.00 charge in February 2026 on my credit card used to automatically renew my subscription annually. I've been using the same credit card for several years, so it's not to check on the validity of the account. It has not been refunded as of March 10.
Hello @Allen_Palmer,
Thank you for reaching out! It is typical to see that ping prior to subscription renewal. It is to test that the card is still valid. If the ping is rejected, you'll typically get an email prompting you to update your payment information.
Since it's a small test transaction, it generally shows up as a pending transaction, then drops off after several days (the exact timeframe depends on your financial institution's policy). Is the transaction still pending? Did it post to the account?
I look forward to your reply!
