VANGUARD MID-CAP ETF INDEX-VO Stock Split

The stock symbol is VO. It took me a week to figure out why I couldn't properly record a split for this security. It turns out VANGUARD MID-CAP ETF INDEX is the old name in Quicken ( I have owned this for over 10 years). If you try and enter the security today the new name is "Vanguard Mid-Cap Index Fund ETF Shares" using the same symbol VO. Can someone at Quicken please fix this? Quicken treats them as separate securities even those the have the same symbol VO! Oh and just as an aside VO used to be the symbol for the Seagram company!
