OneDrive warning after upgrading to R67.7 (Quicken Classic)

After upgrading to R67.7 yesterday, I received the following warning upon opening the application:

"This file appears to be on a folder synched to the cloud by OneDrive"

then

"This warning can appear if you keep your Quicken data file in OneDrive instead of having it stored locally on your hard drive.

Important: Cloud storage (like OneDrive) is great for backups, but your active Quicken data file should always be stored directly on your computer — not inside a synced folder. Keeping it in the cloud can cause data issues over time."

Here is my question. Is this OneDrive issue new or specific to upgrade R67.7? Has storage of the active Quicken data file in the cloud always been a problem? What are the data issues referred to above?

Thanks,

John

The potential conflict between Quicken and OneDrive is not new. See this discussion.

Other than the OneDrive warning, how is the release behaving for you? I am getting it offered but haven't updated yet, it's a pretty big changeset and not feeling that adventurous 😀

I don't use OneDrive Cloud for anything. Disabled it in Task Manager.

Windows 11 (2 separate computers)..... Quicken Premier.. HAVE USED QUICKEN CONTINUOUSLY SINCE 1985.
