Quicken not able to download from Discover

While updating financial institution transactions received a request to reauthorized Discover.. During reauthorization process received a HTTP Error 400 - Bad Request. This is after logging into Discover, agreeing to terms, and selection "Connect". I have a subscription to Quicken, so using latest updates.

Sometimes, the HTTP 400 problem is caused by a browser extension or browser setting blocking communication. If you haven't done so already, please try temporarily setting an alternate browser as your default.

To clarify, are you seeing the HTTP Error 400 - Bad Request within the Quicken program, or in your web browser/on Discover's website? If possible, please provide a screenshot.

If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

After checking your account internally, it looks like Discover is currently returning an FDP-350 internal error, which can present in Quicken Classic for Windows as a CC-901 error.

For context, CC-901 generally appears when Quicken detects that your account authorization needs to be refreshed. This can happen if:

Your security token has expired and you need to reenter your credentials.
Your login information needs to be refreshed.

You can resolve this by reauthorizing your Discover account:

Click Reauthorize in Quicken.
Click Sign In on the next dialog.
Enter your Discover username and password, then click Sign In.
Select the accounts you want to authorize and click Authorize.
You should see a Success message once complete.

Important: If you have multiple Discover accounts or instances in Quicken, you may need to authorize each one individually. Make sure you don’t uncheck accounts unless you don’t want them in Quicken, as that would revoke their authorization.

If reauthorizing doesn’t resolve the issue, you may need to follow the steps in this support article to deactivate and reactivate the affected accounts.

Let us know if you still continue to see the HTTP Error 400 Bad Request error after completing these steps.

I deactivated by Discover account and did a reauthorization. Continue to get same error.

Spoke with Discover support who said that they didn't see anything wrong at their end.

What browser are you using? If Edge, try changing your default browser to either Firefox of Chrome.

You can change your default browser back to Edge after the account is connect in Quicken.
