All Fidelity securities incorrectly listed as Cash Balance in the Online Center

I tested this in R67.7 with a test datafile and the problem still exists as it does in R66.23.

Quicken is incorrectly showing all Fidelity securities as (Cash Balance) in the Online Center. It is incorrectly listing all the securities as Account Type = Cash.

This actual cash balance is treated correctly in the account registers.

That seems to be the usual display:

The column header says "Account Type", not "Security type".

There's nothing wrong with the display as shown.

In prior versions before R66.23 of Quicken, only the security that was used as the Cash Balance showed (Cash Balance) next to it's name under Description. Now all of the securities show (Cash Balance), which is incorrect. Only one security is used a Cash Balance. However, it looks like the Account Type is Cash seems correct. I suspect this is a Quicken/Fidelity related issue where the description is incorrect in the display.

In my QW2017 for investment accounts where I downloaded transactions before QW2017 downloading was discontinued, I see the same as @Tom Young showed. All securities listed with Account Type of CASH in the Online Center Holdings tab.

I don't go to Online Center very often but this thread prompted me to do so. I'm seeing something for Fidelity that is very different but also very not right….basically no transactions or holdings tab & data at all. Also, the Online Balances, except for the Visa card, are missing.:

This is pretty much the same view that I'm getting for all of my EWC and EWC+ connected accounts: .Spending accounts have online balances but no transactions data.

My DC connected accounts also do not show any downloaded transactions data but the accounts with DC Bank Bill Pay do show the more recent bill pay transactions on that tab.

I switched from the Standard Menus view to the Classic Menus view on the off chance that maybe this might have something to do with it but it didn't change anything.

I don't think I've seen anything like this or like @leishirsute's issue before. And since I don't go to Online Center very often I really can't say when this might have started happening in my file.

@mshiggins Disregard my comment about the Account Type column. It apparently is correct. However, it is the (Cash Balance) info suffixed to each security under the Description column that is incorrect. (Cash Balance) should be suffixed only after the security that is used as the cash balance for the account and not suffixed to every security. I suspect that this problem only exists for Fidelity accounts, but not sure. Prior to updating to R66.23, (Cash Balance) was only suffixed to SPAXX, which is the core cash balance security for the account. It seems to be a cosmetic problem. I hope.

@Boatnmaniac That is such a strange issue that your Online Center is missing a Holdings tab. However, I also do not have any transactions listed under the Transactions tab, but I don't recall ever seeing that tab work. I do see balance info in the Balances tab. Does this also happen for you in a test datafile?

Great minds continue to think alike, @leishirsute! 😁 I had just opened a test file that I last used on 4/13….so 1 month ago….when I saw your question. At that time I was still running R66.23.

After I first opened the file I did not run OSU. Instead, I opened the Online Center and it looked normal for Fidelity Investments.

I then switch to another FI (PNC Bank) and saw the same spending accounts issue I posted about above. And then selected Fidelity, again, the view had changed and was corrupted exactly like I posted above.

It makes me think that there is either an issue with R66.28 or R67.7. Or perhaps something about my installation of one of these versions did not install correctly.

I'll work on this some more tonight when I will uninstall Quicken and then reinstall R67.7 to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn't, maybe I'll then down-rev to R66.28 to see if that might resolve the issue.

Maybe there are transactions only if they have not been accepted yet?
