We are importing transactions into Quicken using QIF files. The import itself works correctly, but all imported transactions come in with blank categories.
We would like to know:
- Is there a setting that allows QIF imports to automatically use existing Memorized Payees / Memorized Categories during import?
- Can Quicken automatically assign categories based on the Payee when importing a QIF file?
- If this is not supported, what is the recommended method to automatically populate categories during QIF import?
We need to avoid importing transactions with blank categories.
