pop-up windows won't 'x' out — locks up repeatedly - need rollback function ASAP

When you do HELP, About Quicken … what shows as the Version & "Subscription Valid Until …" date?
The pop-up windows that indicate new things (like rearrange) will not "x" out — the "x" is not functional. Other things that I click on will lock-up the program and I have to end task.
Hoping next version has a more thorough QA before launch
Can you provide an example of a pop-up that is creating a problem? So far I have not found one.
Since I installed the new update, Quicken can't get on the internet. The message tells me to check the internet connection. My computer has no problem with other programs.

purple "rearrange your columns" - has an "x" but not clickable…so sits there on top of the account registers (blocks) - I've tried several things to make go away - so far no luck (on all accounts)
I turned off my Netgear Armor firewall and Quicken now connects. I am not sure what is in the new upload that is being blocked by Netgear.
FWIW I am able to use the rearange columns feature with no problem by clicking the column icon that has been added in the upper right corner of the register over the scroll bar. Adding a screenshot of your situation would be helpful.
I also tried launching the What's New from Help and that worked fine as well.
You description of the rearranging of columns sounds nothing like what I see:

Note that the color is dependent on what you have set for Windows.
Anyways, like @Bob_L said the x works fine for me.
Also, I believe that you applied the manual patch before they switched the manual patch to R68.25, so you are most likely on the old patch.
You might try to apply the new manual patch and see that that works.

I had exactly the same problem. I just reinstalled the previous release.
At least one user found the inability to close the column rearranging pop-up was due to a display scaling issue, see this comment:
I have not yet been offered the Quicken Deluxe update to R68.25, but if I am, I will tell the UAC prompt "no" and remain on R67.10 until this gets sorted out.
Thanks for posting the screenshot. That pop-up did appear just after the update to 68.25, but I did not have an issue with dismissing it.
