EWC+ CC-501/CC-930/FDP-400/FDP-2505 - Errors Across Multiple Financial Institutions (QWIN & QMAC)

Good morning!

I have a load of connection errors this morning. 11 of my 16 accounts did not connect, which boils down to:

Bank of America

Schwab

Chase

Citi

Discover

Fidelity

PNC Bank

At first I thought maybe I lost wifi, but my remaining 5 connections were fine. I sent the error message via Send to Quicken, but the outage is so large I wanted to report here.

I reviewed and refreshed your accounts on our end and found the following:

Amazon.com Store Card - Synchrony:
Connected successfully and not showing any errors.
American Express: Connected successfully and not showing any errors.
Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.: Connected successfully and not showing any errors.
Chase: All accounts appear to be connected successfully.
Lowe's Consumer Credit Card: Connected successfully and not showing any errors.
PNC Bank - Web Connect: Accounts appear to be functioning normally.
PNC Bank - Direct Connect: This account appears to require a connection reset.
TCM Bank - Credit Card: Connected successfully and not showing any errors.

To reset the PNC Bank - Direct Connect account, please first create a backup of your Quicken data file and then follow these steps:

Deactivate account:

Select "Tools"
Select "Account list"
In the Account List, select the account you want to deactivate, and then click Edit.
In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
Click Yes to the message confirming if you want to disable this service.
Revoke Quicken’s third-party access from your account on the FI website.

Reactivate account:

Go to Tools > Add Account.
Search for and select your financial institution.
If prompted, choose the appropriate connection method.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
When the list of found accounts appears, be sure to select Link to connect them to your existing accounts (do not add duplicates).

Once you have completed these steps, please run One Step Update again and let me know the results. If the issue persists, I'll be happy to continue investigating.

I am getting multiple CC-501 errors on multiple banks. I have tried Super Validating, refreshing my sign in, clearing cache and restarting computer, resetting accounts. Is anyone experiencing this and found something that works? Is this a known issue?

And I didn't get ANY errors, of any type, when I downloaded this morning from Fidelity, Chase, US Bank and CitiCards.

It would also be helpful if you'd name the specific banks, so we can research if there's any outstanding issues with them.

I did not encounter this issue when I ran OSU in 4 different data files this morning.

This error code sometimes comes up when there is a temporary communication issue that has occurred somewhere in the communication line between the Quicken Classic software and the aggregator (Intuit). Per this Support Article the issue will often self resolve by running OSU later in the day or by the next day: https://www.quicken.com/support/error-when-using-online-services-cc-501/ .

If you do not want to wait until tomorrow you can try updating each financial institution individually by doing the following: Account Register > upper right Gear icon > Update Now. This is the same as OSU except that it will only update the accounts you have set up for downloading with that particular financial institution. Doing this will often (but not always) resolve the CC-501 error code issue.

Thank you for your responses. I did try the Update Now from a few of the accounts, but that did not work. I reset one of my lesser used accounts, but I did not want to do that for all of them since it can be a pain since it typically will download a million transactions that are already in your register. My update just finished, and I am only down to one error - Wells Fargo. Before the banks were Citi, Capital One, Synchrony, US Bank, Chase, Target, and I can't remember the others, but it looks like maybe it was just a temporary issue.

Yes - Just ran the new update and getting cc-501 error for all my direct connect accounts. I'm not looking forward to resetting all of them since this just occurred a couple of months ago! Following to see what happens with our fix.

Yes. CC-501 and CC-930 errors this morning for several accounts. All the accounts having problems are EWC+ connections. Individual updates also fail.

Yesterday downloaded without errors.

I am having the same issue. Chase, Discover, Fidelity, Citi. Individual updates for each are not successful. I have updated to the latest version of Quicken and run a validate/repair.

I had the same thing this morning. PNC last update 22 hrs ago, Amex, CapOne, M1 and Schwab all failed. This is on Simplifi, and I can't add a new account in Quicken Mac. Hangs up "Opening browser". Finally, my Quicken Beta (Mac) hasn't worked in days, each time I try and log in I get an error connecting.

You are getting this error code with your DC accounts? That is odd because this error code is generally associated with EWC and EWC+, not with DC. Please reconfirm.

ISSUE RESOLVED. ALL IMPACTED ACCOUNTS downloaded. E*Trade via direct connect completed whereas all the other express web connect accounts failed (Schwab, Fidelity, Citi, Amex) except for Macy's. Quicken Classic Premier user. First happened BEFORE I updated to the current release R68.28.

Express Web Connect+ is not working after the R68.28 update in Windows. It is affecting all my accounts that use this (American Express, Bank of America, Chase and Capital One). One Step Update runs for two minutes, then says "We are unable to update your account due to an unknown error." and to contact quicken.com/support. I get either a CC-930 or CC-501 error code.

I'm running Windows with the latest update. This morning I'm trying to update three banks. Bank of America and Wells Fargo both return a CC-501 error and Chase returns a CC-930 error. These have all been updating fine previously and it seems to be an unusual coincidence that all of these banks would be having a problem at their end at the same time. I've rebooted my computer and still the same result. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Agreed.….seems to have been an issue that is unrelated to version and software (QWin, QMac) that is installed.

My 7am Scheduled Update got the CC-501 from Chase, CitiCards and Fidelity.

I tried a manual OSU at 10am and all 3 were successful.
