How to get Fixed Income Report including Projected amounts?

I'd like to have Fixed Income Report for this year, that includes all Projected Income Reminders as well.

I'd like to get such report for after tax Investment accounts for Income related transactions and reminders including Interest, Dividends, Short and Long Gains, Distributions and etc related.
My current issue that I don't know how to add Projected.

You will need to manually enter all of those projected transactions into the accounts in question. Then for the report date range select Yearly and Current Year.

pls. clarify - enter as Transactions with future dates, isn't it?
so, Income Reminders can NOT be accommodated? To see those in resulting Report.

Somehow , Tax Planner accommodates Income future Reminders, I just can't figure out how to create related report.

Yes, both income and expenses can be accommodated by manually entering future transactions into the applicable accounts registers.

Which report are you trying to generate showing future planned transactions? Tax Schedule, Tax Summary, Itemized Categories or some other report?

As far as I know, there is no report that has an option to include Reminders that have not been accepted. That would be a nice enhancement.

As mentioned in my prior posts above, future Reminders and/or other future non-Reminder projection transactions must be actually entered into the account registers in order for reports to be able to capture them.

@mikek753b - I agree that to be able to generate reports which include non-entered Reminders would be a nice enhancement. Perhaps you will want to post this as a New Idea? That will give other users the opportunity to review and cast their vote for it. If there are enough votes for it (usually needs to be about 50) the Dev Team will take it into consideration and then advise if they will add it to their development plan or not. I would vote for it so that would be a start.

I've mentioned 3X in this thread what needs to be done if you want projections/future estimates of any kind to be visible in reports. If that is not clear, please clarify what your question or concern is because at this point I don't know how else to assist you on this matter.

Its easy to set one periodic Reminder which is 2 weeks, monthly, qt, yearly → but replicate those for current year it will take a lot of time.

I could be missing what you propose.

The datafile Validation will remove all those future dated transactions as a fix.
What I'm missing in the proposal?

I want to see Income Report.
Where I can select required after tax Investment accounts.
And filter Categories as needed.

That with for current Year, including Projected.
The same Itemized Categories, to see total for current year.

What you're asking for does not exist. Tax Planner provides all the data you mentioned but it will not print or export the detail you likely want.

If you are just looking for a summary report to print or view without the detail, you can print the Tax Planner view. It provides a nice PDF summary of each Tax Planner section. I hadn't paid much attention to it, but it has a fairly professional look to it, like what you might get from a financial advisor for mid-year tax planning.

The investment tab, portfolio view can be customized in a series of views to give you snapshots of your current holdings' annualized income.

How about, as an example, being able to include future dated interest payments for a bond? Would you consider those to be "fake"?

Or future dated payments on my mortgage? Are those "fake"?

Being able to include reminders for recurring events, that haven't happened yet are expected to happen with HIGH confidence, looks like a valuable enhancement to me.

I guess I wouldn't call them "fake". You said you want to see a report which includes future fixed income, right? Those would be pretty high confidence, right?

If so, set up a recurring income reminder for them. Then enter each of the scheduled recurring reminders for the balance of the year. Once done, those entered reminders will be shown in the reports when you select the Current Year time period.

If you can't set up recurring income reminder(s) for that fixed income then, yes, it could be quite time consuming to get each one manually entered.

As I mentioned earlier, this is the only way I know of for you to get a report generated that includes your future fixed income transactions.

The datafile Validation will remove all those future dated transactions as a fix.

Datafile Validation does not remove future dated transactions that were manually entered. But if they are high confidence fixed income receipt projections, then wouldn't you want to keep them in place and let Quicken match the actual downloaded transactions to them as they occur?

@mikek753b you may want to consider alternates outside of Quicken to create a report of your projected fixed income. Possibly Excel or Google sheets.

Yes, I've used a few Finance Planning tools, which forecast and do tax planning.
but, I use my Quicken data as the source, which keeps changing.

Those tools ask to provide my Fixed Income per year or per month manually. Those tools are right opposite to Quicken and don't have required budgeting and ability to extract Div, Interest, Gains from holdings.
But, asks for those numbers.

Yes, I already run long G-sheet for T-Bills tracking, its time consuming as well, and to manually By and Sell TBills in the Quicken.

The Fixed Income isn't static, its just another type of Investment, which also a bit dynamic.

So, I wish that Quicken can help for this matter.

@mikek753b We have told you several times that the capability you are asking for is not currently available in Quicken.

If you would like to see this enhancement, the way to ask for it is to create an Idea post. This will let other users comment and vote on your idea. I for one would vote for it.

The product team periodically reviews these posts and sometimes implements them.

To create a new idea, you can go to the forum Discussions page and click on New Post then New Idea. The more specific you can be about your request the better, and it is best to have one proposed change per Idea. Ideas that have a clear description of the request and why it is important, general agreement among the commenters, and a large number of votes generally get the highest priority.

It takes about 50 votes for an Idea to be considered for implementation. Adding a comment will move the Idea to the top of the list, where it will get more visibility. As Ideas move through the review process, their Status next to the vote count changes. Recently the Moderators have been reviewing the accumulated ideas and moving more of them to the "Under Consideration" or "Planned" states.

@Boatnmaniac you are right, just datafile Validate doesn't remove future transactions, just a warning, as I tested right now.

The following securities have prices dated in the future. This might cause some balances to display unexpected values.
FHLB 6% 07/21/51 () 7/21/2026 100
TBill 26w 7/16/26 due 1/7/27 912797VT1 (912797VT1) 7/16/2026 100
You can edit these by going to the Security Detail View (under Investing Tools), selecting the appropriate Security, then the 'Update / Edit Price History' menu.

I didn't test other Investment check boxes.

Yes, future Income transactions are in the Income Report

This is the workaround, while takes a lot of time.

@mikek753b From the screenshot you posted earlier today, is _IntGovtSecurity a Category you created? I don't see it on the list of built-in Categories.

To avoid confusion with the built in investing Categories, I would recommend that you avoid creating Categories that begin with underscores.
